Also, we are HAPPY to accept prescriptions from your current and trusted eye doctor. FYI most major national vision insurances plans are accepted for Eye Exams at Eye Candy Optical.
So I have a prescription from my Eye Doctor but isn’t it kind of a hassle to get it from them since I am not buying glasses in their office or store?
Not at all. Remember that your prescription is in fact YOUR prescription. This is no different than when you get a cold and your Eye Doctor give you a prescription for Antibiotics. You can have it filled at whatever pharmacy you choose.
But I don’t want to call or visit the doctor myself to ask… I don’t feel comfortable with that. How can you help me?
No problem… just let us know the name and location of the Eye Doctor and we will make the request for you. You do not have to lift a finger. We can make it happen quick and easy.

Anti-Reflective Coatings – Everybody says I have to have it... What’s the deal?
Anti-Reflective (A/R) and Anti-Scratch coatings make a big difference for you for a couple of reasons. From a vision perspective, A/R coatings reduce glare. This will give you more clarity. Anti-Scratch coating prolongs the life of your lenses. A/R coatings help you see better especially driving at night. In terms of your own personal vanity, A/R coatings reduce glare on the lenses so we can see your beautiful eyes. The Contact Lens order process is really SIMPLE for new or returning Eye Candy customers. However, if you are having trouble signing up, logging in, or reading your prescription, please contact Eye Candy Optical at 440-250-9191 and we will be happy to walk you through the process.
What if I don’t see my brand of contacts?
That would surprise us! We offer all the most popular contact lens brands available. If you cannot find the brand and type of contact lenses you wish to order, please contact Eye Candy Optical at 440-250-9191 and we will work with you to quickly find them.
Do I need a prescription to place an order?
The simple answer is YES
I had my contact lens exam at Eye Candy do you have my prescription on file?
Yes, we sure do! You can call us and we can provide the information to you and you can enter your order or we can do the work for you. You decide!
I had my contact lens exam with another doctor and don’t have a copy, what do I do?
You need to call Eye Candy Optical at 440-250-9191. You can also email us your eye doctor information email@example.com. We require a valid prescription for every order. If you do not have a copy of your prescription, you can still order contact lenses from us. Please email or call us your eye doctor’s name (or clinic name), city, and state. We will do the rest. After you submit your order we will then work fast to confirm or obtain your prescription information. Please note that we are required to verify your prescription with your doctor. This is in your best interest, as we want to make certain your prescription is correct.
How do I know if my prescription is still valid?
You are encouraged to have an eye exam every year for good health. However, federal law states that your prescription is good for a minimum of one year and in the State of Ohio your prescription is valid for two years. In the event your prescription is expired, we will be glad to help you arrange for a new eye exam here at Eye Candy Optical or you may go to a Doctor of your choice. Once you have the new updated prescription, you can order at will.
Order Status and Shipping:
How do I check on my order?
You will receive an email confirmation that an order is placed along with a copy of your receipt. You will be notified by email in the event that there is any delay due to stock issues. You are welcome to call Eye Candy Optical at 440-250-9191 if you want to check the status with us by phone.
How long will it take to get my contacts?
This depends on which shipping option you choose. Shipping options include standard, 2nd day, and overnight delivery. Prices will vary by the option chosen. Remember that we need to verify your prescription and this will require two business days before your order ships.
How can I pay for my contact lenses?
We gladly accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express).
Can I use my Health Spending Account (FSA) to pay for my contact lenses?
Yes! Most companies issue a special credit card for FSA accounts, simply use that FSA credit card you were issued.
Does Eye Candy Optical accept insurance for contact lens purchases?
For Contact Lens Purchases, we accept some vision insurance plans including Eye Med, Humana, Aethna. In the event we are out of network with you vision insurance company, we can supply you the forms to apply for out of network reimbursement.
